In practical development, in different functions and departments, differences between industries are ultimately rather small. An industrial operator is today more and more a service producer and totally dependent on the smoothness of the logistic and administrative processes. In the same way, a traditional service company, where value is produced at the moment of truth, when meeting the client, is increasingly dependent on its industrially functioning process machines and E2E-managed core process.

Every organization is an accumulation of a main process carrying out the main task and functions supporting it which can be the company’s own or procured from external sources. The challenge is to master and combine both sides of the development continuum ranging from uniformity and standardisation to creativity and breakthroughs.
